At Muhlenberg, we believe that sharing a meal is about more than just eating. It’s also about spending time with others and feeling comfortable. That’s why our dining team works hard to give you a great experience. At our dining locations on campus, you can find fresh and tasty meals made with care by our chefs. You can build your own meals at the Wood Dining Commons or grab something quick at General’s Quarters and Java Joe. There is something for everyone!
We offer many food choices, including vegan, vegetarian, kosher, and allergen-friendly options. Our Registered Dietitian can help you with your nutrition goals. We also have a bakery on campus with homemade desserts and special dining events during the year. You will feel at home quickly. We look forward to having you join us!

- The Wood Dining Commons
- With 8 individual dining platforms, the Wood Dining Commons offers casual and fine dining in a spectacular setting. The Wood Dining Commons is known for its chef attended stations, customizable meals, and accommodation of dietary needs.
- The General's Quarters
- General's Quarters (GQ) is our campus food court featuring 'Bergers Grill, SubConnection, Ikagaii Sushi, Simply To Go Grab and Go items, Seattle's Best Coffee, and desserts baked fresh on campus with a variety of hot and cold beverages.
- Java Joe
- Proudly serves Starbucks Coffee, specialty beverages, and from-scratch baked goods. Stop by and check out our daily specials.
- The Life Sports Center Café
- Located in the athletic complex, the LSC Café is perfect for the post-workout energy booster.
- The Mobile Mule
- Enjoy our campus food truck at pop-events throughout the semester!

What meal plans am I eligible for based on my housing?
Can I change my meal plan?
For the fall 2024 semester, you have from the middle of July until September 6, 2024 to change your meal plan. You may also choose a different meal plan for the spring 2025 semester. Please contact Housing & Residence Life (housing@muhlenberg.edu) for instructions.
What are dining dollars, and how are they different from Berg Bucks?
Dining dollars are part of your meal plan, while Berg Bucks are not. Dining dollars can be used at any dining location on campus including Java Joe and the General's Quarters.
Berg Bucks are not part of any meal plan, and are optional. The ’Berg Bucks program provides students with added flexibility and convenience! Independent of meal plans, ’Berg Bucks may be applied toward purchases at on-campus dining venues, the ’Berg Bookshop and campus laundry machines in major residence halls. ’Berg Bucks are a great way to supplement any meal plan!

What Kosher options do you offer?
The Noshery is an integrated kosher facility within the Wood Dining Commons at Muhlenberg College. It houses a separate kosher meat kitchen under Star-K Certification and kosher dairy kitchen under Star-D Certification. A Mashgiach Temidi is on the premises during all hours of operations. Every meal is served on disposable plates with flatware. Both kosher kitchens feature menus predicated on fresh ingredients and scratch-made recipes. Classics including Matzah Ball Soup are available everyday at Noshery South (Star-K certified Kosher Meat Restaurant) while daily features such as Falafel and Grilled Cheese can be found at Noshery North (Star-D certified Kosher Dairy Restaurant). The Noshery is part of the Wood Dining Commons, an all-you-care-to-eat facility that features 6 other restaurants.
This semester, we are also featuring Nosh & Go - pre-packaged sandwiches, salads, and more in the General's Quarters.

What options are available for students with food allergies?
We recognize the growing need on campus for various dietary needs such as gluten free, lactose free and kosher. We offer gluten-friendly foods as well as Star K and Star D certified Kosher cuisine in the Wood Dining Commons along with packaged snacks and convenience items in the General’s Quarters. We also offer a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options every day. Additionally, our employees are trained on food safety and food allergies on a regular basis.
